Founded in 2010 by Scott Sohr and partners Cary Rosenblum and Ben Brewer, Elmington Capital Group specializes in commercial real estate investment and development. Originally formed to acquire distressed, collateralized debt, ECG has experienced substantial growth, closing in excess of 300,000 square feet of office space, over 1,000 apartment units, several residential communities, and numerous commercial warehouses.
Rosenblum, now chief executive officer of the company, leads the Elmington team over three separate divisions:
- Elmington Capital, which focuses on the acquisition of office and industrial space
- Elmington Affordable Housing, which focuses on low-income housing development
- Elmington Property Management, which focuses on property and asset management services
Under Rosenblum’s leadership, Elmington Capital Group has grown from three employees in 2010 to 550 employees in 2015. The company has purchased and is now managing in excess of $500M in assets.
Additionally, Scott Sohr is the founding partner in several planned communities throughout the region.
Woodmont Development spans more than 230 acres in Smyrna, Tennessee, and has the potential to accommodate approximately 800 homes. D.R. The development, created in 2003, features more than 250 homes and is located within minutes of the major retail and entertainment region of Cool Springs. Homes range from 2,800 to 4,200 square feet and are priced from the mid-300s.
